Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national flag carrier flight PK-8303 crashed on Friday 22 May 2020 in Karachi. (https://www.piac.com.pk/corporate/press-releases/1712-karachi-may-22-2020). The crashed just a km away from run way on the houses in Jinnah Garden Model Colony.

The crash of the plane on a residential area has also resulted into the loss of property. The city administration carried out a survey of the damage done to the property. The survey listed the loss of property as 18 houses partially damaged and two completely damaged. The federal government on Tuesday, 26 May 2020 vowed to bear all financial burden of the compensation to the affected families.
